For learners 16 to 18 years

Our study programmes offer our learners aged 16 to 18 an opportunity to take their next steps in achieving their Construction qualifications and working on site.

We have developed a range of challenging and rewarding Courses for our 16-18 learners that look to prepare them for both higher level qualifications and employment.

CSCS Card

When undergoing our study programme here at Cornerstone, you will work towards achieving you Level 1 Health and Safety in a construction environment. We will then fund one entrance for the CSCS test.

  • Trades covered - Joinery, Brickwork, Blockwork including laying paving slabs, Kitchen fitting including assembling interior units, fix and fitting work surfaces, plumbing skills including fitting a bathroom suite, floor and wall tiling, Roofing techniques including installing underlay, battens and single lap roof tiles
  • Excellent achievement rates
  • Excellent links for progression - Apprenticeships / Employment / Further training 
  • Small class sizes - typically around 8, so support and guidance is excellent
